Thyroid problems: a common, quiet issue for Nepali women
Fatigue, weight change and hair fall can all point to the thyroid. A simple T3, T4, TSH test gives answers.
Thyroid disorders are among the most common hormone problems we see, and they affect women far more than men — especially after pregnancy and in middle age.
Signs to watch
Unexplained tiredness, feeling cold, weight gain or loss, dry skin, hair fall and irregular periods.
The test
A thyroid function test measures T3, T4 and TSH from one blood sample. No fasting is needed.
Thyroid tests are included in NanoCard, with home collection available across Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.
